Industry Consultation Workshop 2019 - Robotics, Automation and Sensing - Centre of Research Excellence

The University of Auckland, together with their partners, are preparing an application to host a new ‘Centre of Research Excellence’ (CoRE) on Robotics, Automation and Sensing. This is led by Professor Bruce MacDonald. Partners include University of Canterbury, Lincoln Agritech Ltd, University of Otago, University of Waikato, Auckland University of Technology, Massey University, Victoria University of Wellington, Callaghan Innovation.

The mission of a CoRE is to support growth in research excellence and make a contribution to New Zealand’s development of world-class graduates and researchers in areas of existing research excellence. This is important to industry because it paves the educational pathways of future graduates in the field, hopefully your future employees.

The industry applications of such research is wide ranging and with your proximity to the University of Auckland/existing connection with the university through NIP, this is a great opportunity for you and your organisation to be involved. Please come and have your say in what skills you’d like to see in future graduates, and what technologies you think your industry or specific sector could benefit from in the future!
